Secretary Desk meets ANNIE SLOAN CHALK PAINT

A few before and after pictures of a desk that we did here at the store.  It was originally a dark cherry desk full of scratches and bubbled varnish.  It now has a coat of Graphite Chalk Paint, with a coat of Old White.  We then distressed it heavily and used clear wax to finish it.  The interior of the desk is Louis Blue with a coat of clear wax.

Yes, it's for sale at the store Robyn Story Designs and Boutique

  1. FABULOUS!!! i have the Paris Grey and want to try for this same look by painting Old White over it and then the clear wax. Love how you distressed this piece, too.

  2. I stopped by via Rhonda at Blue Creek Home. Love the transformation of the secretary! I am so glad Rhonda posted about you because I did not know about Robyn Story Designs & Boutique. You are not that far from where I work. I will have to stop by soon because I have a few projects that I would like to makeover with the chalk paint. I have been hearing so much about the chalk paint and have seen some wonderful makeovers done using it.

  4. I love what you did with this secretary! Especially the Louis Blue for the interior. I did that to the interiors of my desk drawers, but in Duck Egg Blue. I just love chalk paint. Thanks for sharing this transformation!
